Cardio is simply the quickest way to lose weight. It’s can get sweaty but it’s great fun and a naturally way to lose weight.

Overall, this was my favorite and most hated exercise of P90X. I love it because it reminds me of Insanity but boy is it tiring. After the third 30 second break I’m already getting tired of all the jumping around. It doesn’t matter though because I took on p90x to bring it.

Anyways, Plyometrics reminds of Insanity because it is all cardio and I love being active (well since I started getting rid of the love handles). I love sweating and I love feeling like I’m about to collapse. Not to mention all the sweat that just pours out of your pores letting you know that you’re there to bring it.

At the end of this full body workout you should be ready to just pass out on the floor from all the hard work that you’ve just completed and all the calories that you’ve just burned.

Some tips to getting through Plyometrics:

  1. Do not eat or drink anything for at least an hour before doing this crazy love handle workout. Definitely eat something beforehand though, otherwise you’ll run out of energy and find yourself slowing down.

  2. If you’re prone to pulling muscles than try doing a few extra stretches before you start the workout. When I first did this exercise I pulled a muscle on my lower back doing the jump knee tucks. I also did something similar to the jump knee tucks in Insanity so I was just trying to show off. :) The end result was me having to stop p90x for a week and then continue from the beginning.

  3. Keep a towel nearby, you’ll need it ;)

  4. Drink water during the workout but keep it limited. Drinking too much water can slow you down.

  5. Stick with it. It will be hard the first time you do it, especially if you’re not used to exercising, but it will be worth it at the end. Do what you can do, not what they’re doing on the workout dvd.

So that’s my opinion about the p90x plyometrics. Jump training. It’s hard but the payoff is huge at the end.

If you’re into cardio, looking for a challenge, and want the quickest way to lose weight then I would recommend Insanity. Insanity is a excellent exercise plan made to get you results within 60 days. Just like P90X, it comes complete with home exercises and a weight loss diet plan. The thing that really sold me on Insanity was that you don’t need any any equipment. Just floor space and some good shoes.
